Background
In 2020, the Council developed the All Age Carers Strategy 2021-26 (PDF, 33KB) after extensive engagement with local carers, service providers and key partner organisations. We used feedback we received to develop proposals for a single All Age Carers Service, merging services for adult carers and young carers, which can be found in the downloadable information section below.
What was consulted on
The consultation sought views and feedback on current services and proposals for future support to make sure they reflect carers needs and aspirations.
The consultation took place between October and December 2021. People could take part by filling in an online survey, attending an online focus group, telephone interview or drop-in session. People were also able to respond by email, letter or telephone.
Consultation results and feedback
Thank you to everyone who took part. What you told us has made a significant contribution to our work and will be used to support the future delivery of community and carers services.
We used this feedback, together with findings from other engagement activities, to develop proposals for a new model of delivery called the Community Led Care and Carers Service. Consultation on these proposals took place between April and June 2022. You can find out more, including information about the consultation findings and next steps at Participate Now.
