Raising objections
Local electors can also make objections to anything about which the Auditor could take action under section 17 (which deals with unlawful expenditure) of the Audit Commission Act 1998. Objections may also be raised about any matter in respect of which the auditor could make a report under section 8 of the Act.
To make an objection, write to the auditor setting out the objection and the grounds on which you are making it.
