Employment Land Review

The final Employment Land Study Update (2013) was published in July 2013. It assesses the supply and demand for employment land within the borough. It reviews and updates the findings of the Employment land and premises study (BE Group, 2009). It is evidence to inform the preparation of the Cheshire West and Chester Local Plan.

Consultation took place on a Draft Employment Land Study (2012/20013) in January 2013, including a call for sites. We also invited interested parties to put forward sites for consideration for future development through the Council's Local Plan. This 'call for sites' was for both employment/commercial and housing development and was undertaken alongside the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment. This consultation ended on 18 February 2013.
