Closing date: Friday 16 March 2018
This is your opportunity to help shape where children’s centre services are delivered from in future in the Winsford area.
BackgroundChildren’s centres deliver child and family health services for children, young people and families in west Cheshire. The centres offer advice and support on health and wellbeing issues for pre-natal parents through to young people aged up to 19 years. This extends to 25 years for young people with special educational needs or disabilities.
Currently there are two main children’s centres in the Winsford area.
Until 2015 there was also a children’s centre in Over however this was de-registered following a public consultation. The building has continued to house Sunrise Nursery and Homestart family support service.
What are we consulting on?In Winsford our vision is to make services easily available for the people who need them most. We are looking at two options and are asking people what they think about the different proposals:
- Greenfields Children’s Centre to remain as a main children’s centre.
Over Children’s Centre to remain closed.
- Over Children’s Centre to be re-registered and opened as a main children’s centre.
Greenfields Children’s Centre to change to a linked site (providing further services tailored to meet the needs of local children.)
How to get involved
The consultation closes on 16 March 2018.
