The sexual health summary contains information on those diagnosed with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) which is classed as a disability in the Equality Act 2010. Sexual Orientation and Gender

The equality profiles for Cheshire West and Chester’s lesbian, gay and bisexual community and transgender community, contain population estimates, key data and a summary of some of the issues facing these groups.

Estimated population by Clinical Commissioning Group is available in the demographic profiles.

The lifestyle reports make reference to the lesbian, gay and bisexual community as a high risk group in regards to alcohol, smoking and sexual health.

The Annual Public Health report 2013 and Annual Public Health report 2014 both include a chapter on the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Further information about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community is available from the LGBT Foundation including policy and research.

 

Ethnic Group and Faith

Information about ethnic group and faith group is available in the Census 2011 including the people and population area profiles and ward atlas. In addition, information is also available in the locality dashboard and Clinical Commissioning Group demographic profiles.

The equality profiles for Cheshire West and Chester’s black and minority ethnic community and religious community contain a summary of some of the key issues facing these groups.

The Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation assessment as well as being an assessment of accommodation, describes Cheshire West and Chester’s Gypsy and Traveller population including age, household, employment and health.

The Strategic Housing Market Assessment includes information about Black, Asian and minority ethnic households.

Cheshire, Halton and Warrington Race and Equality Centre (CHAWREC) have produced a number of resources including the 2014 Black and minority ethic (BME) mapping report for Cheshire West and Chester.
